my dd, 6yo, is taking 27mg concerta. School work is great, such a huge improvement. behaviour is great, she was suspended 3 times in kindergarte, we changed schools and put her on concerta this year (first grade) which started in Feb. (our school year is Feb - December), and she is a model student, model child.
I have noticed lately that she is "flat", she was always been very social and she is a bit withdrawn now. I am not sure she is as creative, and just generally not as enthusiastic or happy. However last year was such a nightmare I don't ever want to go back to that!
I am thinking of first trying to reduce her meds to 18 mg. however I would appreciate any advice.
OUr medication choices are limited here, we get meds way after they are available in the US. For instance, focalin is not available here yet, and might not be for several years!
