My 15-year-old daughter has been on Concerta 54 mg for several years with good success. The only problem is that her appetite is suppressed and she is underweight. Her psych wants to switch her to Focalin, which he feels has less appetite suppression problems. Any experience with this, or anything we should watch out for?

my friends son, 13 was just switched from Concerta to Focalin and he has no eating issues at all with the Focalin. my son was on it and I felt it caused a major zombiesh affect on his and my friends son but she does not care because he is quiet. we went to Concerta and are now on only Intuniv and Zoloft.I'm back again. My daughter went on Focalin for a week, and I don't know if the dose was too low, but she was absolutely horrible - acting like a child, driving everyone crazy. We put her back on Concerta and she is back to her (fairly reasonable) self. I guess Focalin wasn't the right med for her.
