I hope you quickly find a solution to the headaches as well as a medicine that works well for him!  I hear you on the frustrations of starting over with a new medication and playing with dosages, etc.   Not fun.My son has been getting headaches and has been having outbursts at
school. His doctor says he thinks it's his medication. He's having 2 days
without any meds, and if the headaches go away we'll try a new one. I
almost wish he still has headaches so I don't have to go through the process
of trying a new medicine. :(

Oh that is too bad.  I really feel for you.  (((HUGS)))

Thanks. It happens. We were pretty lucky - first one was a real disaster,
then the next week he tried the one he's been on for the past 2 years. Kid is
growing up, his brain chemistry is changing, which is to be expected. And,
of course, there's never a good time for this. Got to pat myself on the back
for stepping up to this challenge instead of burying my head in the sand.So - one day without the meds and he had no headaches and the best day at
school in weeks. Not sure what to do next. Definitely have to talk to his
doctor. I doubt he should go meds-free, it's only a matter of time before
his lack of focus drives him nuts, but I feel bad for giving this medicine that
clearly isn't doing it for him anymore and not noticing it sooner. :(

Corrina, you are a wonderful woman and mother - it is obvious from reading your posts. Your son is lucky to have you as an advocate!
