Upping son’s dosage of Focalin XR | ADHD Information

My older son has been on ADHD meds off and on for the
last few years.

Currently, he's on Focalin XR and has been since early
this year. He started out at 10mg but we've increased it
over the months since then to where we are now, 30mg. He
starts that dosage today.

We're hoping that the increased dosage of meds makes a
difference; we've never made such a leap in dosing (10mg)
at a time so of course, I worry. Granted, the decreased
appetite would be somewhat welcome for him (he's 11 and
weighs over 100lbs and has a very stocky build). My only
worry is if it affects his sleep.

But the behaviors we're seeing at school (running/darting
from the teachers/classroom, touching other kids, etc)
really need to stop so he can learn. He's autistic too so
that makes the situation even worse.

How is your son doing on the increased dosage of
Focalin XR?
As a middle aged adult (165lb), I increased my dosage
from 20mg. to 30 mg. with no improvement. Suggested
that I go to 40 mg. but don't feel that this particular med is
working at all.
Perhaps I will return to Adderall 30 mg. or Concerta 36
mg which seemed to make me more focused.
