yes we tried it about 5 years ago because we needed a med in our adHHHHHHHHD son 24/7, BUT, the side effects of the strattera were bad for our son. It made him depressed and he said he wanted to kill himself. We stopped the strattera immediately and told the doctor. He has never said that again.
He is on concerta AND guanfacine ( tenex ) together and is doing fine. DS is turning 14 in June.
I haven't heard of the combo helping rebound. We have the tenex and I used a chocolate bar, a hersheys chocolate bar, when he came home from school. Their blood sugars are low and they haven't eaten and this would get my son to start eating, it really worked. I used to post about it back then and others joined in.
I hope this is of some help!!
Has anyone heard of taking concerta in the morning and when it starts to wear off in the afternoon or evening, taking 10 mg. of straterra? This is what our pediatrician reccomended for the rebound in the afternoon. Any thoughts?
