My daughter just started 30 mg Vyvanse on Friday, the first 3 days were great. The forth day it was like she didn't take anything.  Before Vyvanse she was on concerta 36mg, but it only seemed to last 4 hours and the dr. changed her medication.  Could this be wearing off already after only 3 days?HI there sorry I am really NO help in this area of it wearing off, but maybe? My DD age almost 8 was on focalin xr 5 mg for almost 12 weeks we switched her as her sleeping and eating and weight suffered plus the emotions and rebound weren't great with this one, IT IS SUPPOSED to last up to 8 hrs but she was losing focus around mid afternoon while still in school

She is now on 20 mg of Vyvanse and we are LOVING this one, she is doing awesome in school, her sleeping has improved, and her attitude is awesome, a lot LESS emotions are way down YAY, although we still have some. FOR us or I should say her is the eating still UGH this is still off but we might be seeing SOME improvement, although last med check she lost another 2lbs DR almost took her off of all meds, I started to cry as school would SUFFER a ton. we are now on our way to working with a nutritionist and have an app. SOON I pray she can help as this ONE is working for my child

I just wanted to say maybe you need a higher dose for your child, but I really LIKE this one we are on.

Hang in there as this can be so tough
It's possible you need an increased dose, but I'd make sure lack of sleep isn't the issue first.

My son is on 40mg Vyvanse and I thought that he needed an increased dose, but I started him on time-released melatonin (we used to use the regular type) to help him sleep through the night and that seems to have taken care of the issue and I no longer think we need a dosage change.
