risperdal and strattera | ADHD Information

Risperdal is a pretty heavy duty drug...I know you said she has extreme mood swings, but have you previously tried something like Prozac, which is a mood stabilizer (as opposed to an anti-psychotic)?   I am wondering if anyone else has their teenager on strattera and risperdal ? I have a fourteen yearold daughter who has suffered with school and grades for years not to mention extreme mood swings and defiance since probably the age of nine...after trying everything from counsiling etc i moved her to dads thinking it was the single mom syndrom...takiin advantage...so things didnt change once there.... to make a long story short after two years of restiction, etc.... we started seein more docs, diagnosing withh her adhd.. shes been on stratera which is making her do better in school, thank god... but the moods arent any better so they put her on risperdal for mood disorder not diagnosing her with bipolar,etc... I am just hoping someone has a similar story ...thanks for the response....
