adhd v’s aspergers syndrome | ADHD Information

Hello sam, my son is 7 and along with considering ADHD we are also looking at Sensory integration Dysfunction. I have read that it is common for these 'disorders' to coexist. I know that the sensory thing has links with autism also. I can't give you any help, but I figure that the more comprehensive the diagnoses, the more you will be able to learn how to help him. I know I have cried so much, but also have learned to get going and look for more answers. On Ivillage they have mentioned on the board aspergers, and they are all great over there, as they are here. Hi im a mum with an 8 year old boy with adhd and has been advised that he may have aspergers syndrome as well .The word distraught at the moment is an under statement as just beginning to deal with the adhd and he then gets another diagnosis i would like to hear from anyone with the same experiencies.thankyou sam66 hellllp!!!!!!

There is alot of evidence out there that children are being misdiagnosed the doctors are calling it ADHD and ADD because thats alot easier than really finding out what is wrong with our children please get a second opinion and a third and a fourth and a fifth if thats what it takes.
