my beautiful girl is to loud | ADHD Information

hi there my 7 year old is VERY VERY loud and has been for a long time, i have been advised to get her meds reviewed by the school as her attetion span is becoming less and less. We all lost a very dear person in our life this time last year, the kids dad and my hubby, the behaviour is waering me thin as she laughs at me in the face when i ask her to do somethinmg or outwrighhtly says no. and raises her fist.

the ped put her meds up to 54mg today. im sorry to say this but i can often see how child abuse starts.

what can i do to support her in all areas of future learning and have a calmer life with her.

I'm sorry you are going through so much.  You've been dealing with a lot.

Which medication is your child taking?  I hope the higher dosage helps and makes your life easier.

I have a loud girl also. Whispering instead of talking helps. Also when i rub
my fingers together it means turn down the volume.

Meds always wear off and you need an increase.

For disrespect you just need to put her in an automatic time out -- no
second chances, no discussion. Read the book 123 Magic.I have a loud son also.  I have a hearing loss, so I was blaming that he had to speak up for me that caused it.  But I think it is just a sympton of adhd.  As he has gotten older he isn't loud everywhere so much.  I had a book when I was a kid about the loudest kid  and he reminds me of that book.
