Combining alcohol and energy drinks is illegal in many states because so many people were going to the ER from it. I think some people have died from the combination. I forget what the drink is called that put alcohol into its energy drink, but it's banned in my state and many others.
You are living very dangerously in several regards. Give the prescription medication a chance to work, and seek your doctor's advice about ways to offset other symptoms. If you are having trouble calming down at night when the Concerta wears off, he might want to prescribe Tenex or Intuniv to help. Or you might want to try drinking chamomille tea or taking melatonin to help you sleep.
If you take an amphetamine while the Concerta is in your system, you might end up dying from combining two stimulants.
Please be very careful what you're doing, and you also should reconsider doing all of this illegal stuff. You're bound to get caught eventually.
Anyone with presence of mind would not even be able to write the orginal post given the drugs and alchohal you claim to ingest and if your really were ingesting these substances as you say you are why would you even care about an adhd med, interaction or effectiveness. Any credible doctor wouldn't even treat you under such circumstances but would recommend you check into a drug and alcohol program to get clean before strating treatment for ADHD. I'll be honest, the weed I smoke when I can and the speed is once a fortnight when I go out over hte own and yeah Mom, the first comment, thanks for that. Yea, I was diagnosed last October and well, it#'s hard to break old habbits. I'm in the process of seeing a drugs counciler so now youi have told me what you told me, I will take this matter ore serious and grow up a bit and take my condition more serious. If I can get a replacment to take me down from the Concerta, then I can stop smokign weed no problem. I have stopped smoking it socialy, it's when the night comes and my minds all hyperactive I get this strong urge to get something to take me down so yeah I will mention this to my doctor. In all fairness I'm not getting much joy of the medication, it doesn't even last through the day and I am on 36 MG but at the same time I supoose i should give it chance and thanks xIt's good to hear you are working with a drug counselor. Now that you are taking ADHD medication, hopefully it'll help you have better impulse control and help you make better decisions. I mean that in a supportive way, so I hope that's how it came out.

Thanks for the nice words there, it means a lot. Plenty of times when I take Speed, people say to me Alan, you seem normal, you seem quicker in the head and I feel and act quicker to things so in the short term I guess it does help me with ADHD, but in the long term I know it's not good. On a day after speed on the come down stage, oh my word...everything is 3 times mentally challenging, I'm very slow, I'm dopey, clumsy so in that sence I think it makes my condition worse. I know, it's very silly and I think if I was diagnosed earlier in life then I wouldn't have of hit the drug phrase. I'm currently taking 36 MG Concerta and it works but not for long, maybe a few hours. Do you reckon I'd need a 56 MG or 74 MG to see me through the day ? I'm suggesting that if in fact you are smoking weed, doing speed, drinking alcohol in combination with highly caffeinated drinks you need to get into a treatment program asap. No interventions for ADHD including medication will be of any help until your clean and sober. Whether you take ADHD med's or not you can die from being a substance abuser so I'm glad your taking all of this seriously and reaching out for help. I get paid once a fort night and I'll go out for a drink over the town because it's my social life and my doctor said that was fine. I wasn't sure if I could get sleeping tablets to help help when taking ADHD medication but now I know now I can look into that. If I can get something to take me down and help me sleep then I know I can stop the Cannabis. You might think I'm stupid, but you see, all this is new to me and I know what I am doing is wrong, but I want to know why it's wrong and that's what I'm trying to find out now. I'm actually in the process of stopping smoking so once I start to feel good of that then maybe I can use that good feeling to spur me on to get over the issues which is drug use but yeah, use have been a great help. Thankyou I take Ritalin, it's pretty much the same as Concerta, and I sometimes drink alcohol, never had any problem with that. I use short-acting Ritalin though, since Concerta lasts longer, I'm not sure at all.
