Newbie here | ADHD Information

Hello everyone. :) I new to this board although I have been lurking on and off for a while and it seems as tho this is a very helpful board for all ADAD and ADD matters. So I decided to register. :) .
Anyway, I have a 5 year old son who was diagnosed in January of this year with ADHD. At first they put him on Adderall (5mgs). He was on it for about 2 months and the dr.s took him off after he started getting so angry to the point of showing that he wants to hurt someone saying that he wishes he was dead. :( At first, I knew it was the meds so I took him off of them myself to see and sure enough, he acted better without them than on them. :) So thats when I decided to take him back to the dr. They then put him on the lowest dosage of Concerta (18mg). And that worked wonders, up until it kept him up all night until late hours. So now they have him on Methylin ER, 10 mgs. I dont know how well its working yet because he has only been on it a short period of time. He takes it in the morning and its already worn off by the time he gets home from school. So I will have to talk to his teacher yet to see how it is. :)
so far my other two kids dont have it. My oldest is 8 and I know she doesnt have it but she does have a learning disability, which is being taking care of. :) And my youngest, age 3, seems to be a pretty normal acting little boy. Other than his speech problems he has no signs of ADD or ADHD. :) I pray it stays this way.

I have two boys: one who is 12years old and Autistic/ADHD (currently
unmedicated) and the other who is 9years old and ADHD (uses Daytrana and
we recently reduced his dosage in an effort to help with the weight gain or
lack thereof, but I think we're going to have to go back up to his normal
dosage).

This board is really great with awesome people!
