ODD, ADHD and Tourette’s | ADHD Information




	ODD, ADHD and Tourette’s Any thought on what meds for my son who is odd, adhd, has tourette's and also wets the bed. He is almost 13 and cannot take stimulants because of the tourette's. He is on clonodine now but needs something to help with the adhd and ODD. He can't sit still in school and is constantly up doing just about anything to get out of his seat. The ODD makes it appear that he is just a behavior problem. I am at my wits end. Sorry I can't be of any help but have a look at the Bedwetting post by Logan'sMom, you posted on there and then I did and then Logan'sMom posted back to myself and you. Good luck Tara Are all stimulants out of the question with tourettes? How about Strattera, has he ever tried that? It's a non-stimulant. Strattera works well for my son but it doesn't take all of the hyperness/impulsiveness away. So he takes it along with a stimulant but it may help your situation by itself. Also, there's a natural supplement out there called "Calms Forte" that may help. It has an overall calming effect on some kids. I don't believe it's a problem to take with other meds (at least my son's doc has him taking it along with Ritalin, Strattera, and Tenex) but you might want to ask the doc. Good luck!
