Oh my gosh I had and have that same thing. In school I used to run out of the classroom because I couldn't stand it anymore. When I started my medicine it was like I was a different person. When I worked I too would use up all my vacation time...and I would dred going and I would be late because I would not want to go. Just my work would drive me batty bored. I would always volunteer to leave to run any errands like the birthday cakes etc....even though that was typically the secretary's job..... My daughter is 14 she has not yet been diagnosed with ADHD, but she got in trouble last year for jumping out of her seat and running out of the classroom ....I did not get upset with her because I knew exactly how she felt...she is getting tested in two weeks. I think that feeling is why ADHD people do better owning their own business because if that feeling occurs they can change their environment.
I hope your medicine continues to help....I know exactly how you feel.
BOBEL when I have taken ADHD meds, I find the world opens up and things seem more able to be done. I think boredom came from a bit of feeling overwhelmed. But when on meds, I can think more clearly, the internal dialogue slows down and the here and now comes to the forefront, and things seem easier and more enjoyable.
