Help,new here | ADHD Information

My Son is going to be 4 years old,and starting preschool in the fall
I am very concerned for him,He does not know his ABC's
He is very Hyper,and gets very Violent at times
He has alot of trouble Concentrating,he has to do many things at once,
When I try to sit him down to color,he has no interest,only wants to build with the crayons,reading a book,out of the question,he will not sit still long enough to read one.
Should I be concerned or is this something he will outgrow,I am trying so hard to work with him,and prepare him for school
He has trouble listening,The more I see him,he has alot of Symptoms I have had as far as I can remember about myself,but I was always to ashamed to tell anyone,I have really bad OCD,but I also do not know where to turn

Is almost 4 years old too young for this disease though,I myself have never been tested,I am not sure if that is what I have,but I do not want to see him go through with what i did

Have you had your son diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, ODD?  If not I would suggest having him seen! He has the symptoms of ADHD,ODD. My daughter has ADHD, ODD. SHe is 12 now. SHe has had the symptoms since she was 6.  The meds help her concentrate, and the therapy helps her to understand her feelings and to help with her behavoir. Make sure you have a good support system!  Good luck and let us know what you have decided to do!
