I just started taking lexapro and I was doing some research on how other people like it. How do you all feel about it as an anti anxiety med? Have you had many side effects other than the horrible night sweats that I keep reading about?
Yes, the horrible night sweats are terrible...constantly washing sheets.

I get terrible night sweats, too. I can't remember ever getting them when I was on Prozac. Do any women who are on Lexapro get night sweats when they have their period?I have been on it for almost a year and thank goodness for this med. I had anxiety attacks soo severe they would not stop. they came outta nowhere. the only problem i had with this med was when i first started it i was tired and it makes you feel hot and tingly. other than that....i swear by this med. it is wonderful. i am on 20mgs cuz when i first went on it i was on 10mgs and three months later i felt wonderful and decided to come off of it on my own. i had no withdrawals either but six wks later i had them again and my dr. had to up me to 20mgs cuz the 10mgs no longer was doing it for me. if i had not gone off of it then i could have stayed on the 10mgs. this is a wonderful pill with barely any side effects.
