Problems urinating on Adderall? | ADHD Information

It does go away fairly soon. But you can try drinking Lite cranberry juice to help with urination (hey and give your kidneys a break as well) I have had some really bad sexual issues with adderall (think a bugs bunny cartoon, oil well, huge rumbling in the earth, people running for cover, then :ploop: one little drop of oil comes out.)   But all that stuff went away after about a month.

I initially tried Strattera and had extreme difficulty urinating.  Took it only once.  Switched to Concerta but that had no effect.

So now I'm on Adderall and so far it seems to work a little but I have 2 minor side effects.

1.  Dry mouth.  Dealing with it.

2.  Urination problems.  Unlike Strattera, I can actually urinate -- it just is much more difficult.  I feel like I can live with this problem but is it definitely related to the Adderall?  I didn't see this symptom listed in official documentation.  I've seen a little about it on the web, however, along with similiar sexual problems (delayed ejaculation) -- but so far I haven't noticed that, and to be honest, I don't see that as a "problem" -- we could all use a little more stamina.

So a few questions.  Will going to non-XR version of Adderall help (at least at night)?  How long does the non-XR version last?  Is there anything I can do about any of these symptoms (other than drinking water for the first one... which of course causes more problems for the second problem).

I have had this same problem. Hard to get it started and kinda low
pressure once it gets going. Also noticed it's much darker. I found if I
walk around all day long with a water bottle I'm fine. I had urination problems(Severe Hesitation/Retention) with Sraterra, and sexual side-effects(large Qty of Pre-ejaculate) as well.  I have been on Adderall XR20 for a month now, I have not had any side effects like that.  My only topic to bring up to my doc next month, is the fairly severe tiredness I get at night.  This is great for sleeping, but if I need/want to do something, it impairs me. Yes I have also increased my fluid intake dramatically, mostly to counteract the extreme dry mouth I get.  On average I am drinking 3-5 44oz cups while at work.  So anywhere from 1.5 to 3 gallons in total each day.

I urinate a lot now...  but I suppose that is not a bad thing either.
I have noticed a problem with going to the bathroom too. It seems like it takes a while for me to go even when it feels like i have to go really bad. how long has this been affecting you?
