ritalin and skin problems/dehydration | ADHD Information

does anyone have problems with skin dehydration while on ritalin?I drink  water all day. LOTS of it or I get dry mouth .  I am 99% sure it has diuretic properties.  I probably  drink 1/2 gallon of water a day. Yes, I have skin problems but they are not of the dry nature.  In fact, it has been just the opposite.  I have been experiencing acne and I'm in my 40's (ugh).   Nevertheless, there may something to what your saying in as far as the water intake in both our cases.  Another thing that I have noticed is that during the coldest months I don't drink fluid.  I don't get it.  But, I do think that you are on something about stimulants being diuretics.  Now that I think of it, that may have great deal to do with why my eyes feels so dry as well.  Thanks! 

Ritalin and the stimulants will cause dehydration.  I drink a lot of water, and use moisturizer right out of the shower.  If I get too dehydrated I get terrible itchy skin.
