Help changes my sons meds | ADHD Information

My son started with Concerta 18, then 36, tried Strattera which had no real effect on inattention for him, then Dr. said same thing, try Adderall XR b/c didn't want to go to 54 mg dosage when Concerta stopped working (after a year and 1/2).
We've struggled not to hang ourselves with him on the Adderall XR. It's been HORRIBLE. He was angry, defiant, aggressive, never stopped to think about how he's behaving. I know this is just rebound, but having a 9 year old hit me 2x in one week was too much. We stopped the Adderall. He has been w/out his meds for alittle over a month. No attention at all, but happy kid.
Have an appt. with a psychiatrist later in the month b/c Dr. had tried everyhting and thought maybe I should talk to someone who specializes in it.

Strattera vs all other meds:We chose it because of least amount of side effects. Anyone using it seen sleepy child at 5pm daily. Only on 25mg. I refuse to use any other med. because of side effects.

I herd petscan are really only way to detect ADHDor ADD.Also told best treatment med and behavior therapy. Anyone done both of these?

Grades don't seem a lot different either.Could these kids just learn different as I know my son does.

My son who is 3rd grade has been doing well on concerta for the last year.  My only concern was his hand had a very slight shake to it when writing on doing other fine motor activities.  We have also been seeing so highs and lows on the concerta0 we are now on 54 from 36.  Today my son's doctor said we should try adderall and see how my son responds to this with his slight hand shake.  Has anyone had a child who has been on both this meds before.  Any pros or cons that I should wonder about before we mnake the change later this week.

 3 cups of Coffee  used to give  me a slight tremor. I stopped drinking it when I started taking the Ritalin.  The tremors stopped so,  for me Ritalin had less of an effect then Starbucks.  I know  stimulants can cause tremors  from my experience as a teen when I abused  them  amongst other things.   I was surprised it wasn't listed as a possible adverse effect.....real surprised. Stimulants can cause shakiness( doh) just ask any ex substance abuser. Does anyone know of any concerns about ritalin causing shaky hands? I've had them for as long as I can remember and never thought it was related.
