bump..what time of day do you give our child his/her Ad/Hd meds? Currently AJ is on 40mg Strattera at bedtime. He is still having some control issues at school, but fine at home. Do you think switching the meds to breakfast time would help?Or maybe breaking up the dosage? I have a call in to his doc but he may not be able to call me back till the morning, and i'm wondering what other parents do,

Thanks
Lisa

I give my son strattera at 6:30 a.m. with a glass of milk and breakfast.  He is in 7th grade and age 12.  I find it takes about a hour for it to kix in.  The first hour of school he is still talkative in class, then the rest of the day goes great.  You cant tell he uses it except his grades have went from D's and C's to A's and B's.

He is on 25 mg. once a day, The way it sounds he is so lucky that it agrees with his body. It has been Great!  I think the milk coats him and keeps him from feeling sick, he also eats about every three hours. But he has only been on it since December 18th 2004.
