This is not about religious argument, I am not a follower of the starchild idealogies, but I appreciate taking things from different beliefs to help me grow as a person.
I do not believe any one faith has all the answers, However I base my beliefs in Catholicism - and add to that a feeling that reincarnation is a strong possibility.
I believe that with openmindedness we can help ourselves much better. I think it is important to keep your knowledge banks open to all spiritual idealogies, as our children will grow and make their own choices in this area one day.
Personally, if my son's ADHD can be helped by Buddhist meditation (not that I have tried it) or Vegetarianism or the belief in Indigo/Crystal children, to give him some feeling that his behaviour has a cause, than I will offer it to him.
I dont think all the answers are in meds, otherwise almost half of America's children would not be on them. I think this med path is a temporary measure until some further answers come to fruition.
And in my opinion, as in Some European nations (I think Scandanavia) there are already treatment hospitals, that heal the entire person including medications, but also things that we no little about - like Aura cleansing etc. It is widely accepted in these nations.
So just because some Western countries rule out these unknown beliefs and practices, does not mean they do not work. Why is it that ADHD is not even an issue in a lot of Asian countries - could it be because children from a young age are taught meditation.
Now if I knew how to teach my kids this art, I would - I think it would help a great deal, in teaching them self control and 'grounding them'.
Some people think a virgin gave birth 2000 years ago, others think a black meteor in a desert city has a relation to God, others that the Nile turned to blood, others believe other things. What you are talking about is not "spirituality" it is a religon imo because you are referencing it's dogma. In my experience the dogma of a religon doesn't have a real close connection to the real power faith has. The Dogmas all change. Faith is always faith. Like many religons it now claims to heal the sick..cough cough Scientology/revivalism. I am glad it's working for you. I have a deep and abiding faith of my own which involves an organized religon but, remain grateful for all science has to offer in treating illness today.
you got to the grip of what i believe. Take what is best from every idea and implement it into your belief system. The point I was trying to make is I don't believe anything useful can be derived from the idea that you suggested.Hi everyone,
Many months ago a young canadian lady came on to this site and explained to me a spiritual reason for the symptoms of ADHD. I was so far down the road at this stage with the meds and very stressed about our situation that I really have not looked into it until recently. And I have found some really good stuff.
I was raised CAtholic so this is a bit of a leap for me. But it is still beautiful.
Basically, what it is saying in the past 100 years people have been born with a soul of a warrier. That our planet requires big changes and transition to improve the evolution of our spiritual side within Humanity.
There have been large numbers of souls born in recent years with these qualities and may be a reason why the 'mental illness' situation has become to a crisis point.
I have gleaned from this web site many inspiring thoughts and ideas. I hope you all put your skepticisim aside and have a look. It may give you interesting ideas and perspectives that just may work for some of you in your relationships with your kids.
I hope so anyway.
And by the way - it is not Anti-Christian, nor evil, it just seems a really beautiful perspective.
Cheers
I think it is all bull! Yes people with ADD do tend to have a stronger fortiude than other people. We have to exist in a society that is not tailored to our needs but there is no 100yr or woteva tripe.
