Good morning folks.
When I saw an AD/HD 'expert' for diagnosis, one of the tests was to read a page of words. Not a book, sentences or anything, just a list of words to read aloud (words of increasing difficulty). Is this a normal test? I had no problems at all with this, and the shrink thought that indicated against AD/HD.
I've never read about this before.
(He also didn't like it because I didn't pee the bed much after 'toddlerdom'.)
Thanks,
Mark -
This is NOT the preferred form of diagnosing ADHD
This is NOT the preferred form of diagnosing ADHD
That's what I thought. He asked the usual questions too, of course, and my answers were fairly typical of AD/HD inattentive type - but he did seem to think my ability to recognise words went against the diagnosis.
Thanks,
