Go to your doctor as soon as possible. I was just taken off adderall and put on effexor because my mood swings actually became unbarable under the med. as it gradually stop working. There are many reasons why the meds could not be working.
Maybe you are taking the meds with foods that inhibit its potency, or you may have a high stomach acid production. However, it is also posible that you may have another disorder in addition to ADHD. There are many other disorders that immitate ADHD behavior. It is really hard for doctors to identify one in specific because many disorder's synthoms overlap. You should definately see your doctor about this as soon as possible, and be absolutly honest about your feelings and life experiences (everything must come out in the open). Especially, if the medication it making you more irritable.
I am on the 20 mg of generic Adderall, and it makes me in the best mood for like an hour after I take it and then when it starts to wear off, I get really irritated and moody. Why does this happen? Oh, and I am 120 lb 20 year old and its not affecting my appetite at all. Is this normal? I heard it was a supressant? I take it for ADD.5-HTP.. works so good. 5-HTP and vit B-6 let me have a GOOOOD! HAPPPY! RELAXED! day ...all day.. and I can still concentrate even after the adderall is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!... having ADHD all my life, I have never been able to feel this good.. I love it
You know what? don't take it. It makes me sleepy. I was taking before going to sleep. But it doesn't make you feel anything, but you just feel content... normal... good I guess, but only at nightWhat brand of 5HTP are you taking? Does it make you dopey? I know my Dexedrine makes me dopey, especially if I am sitting still, so I would hate to add something that has a sedating effect
