the calm before the storm? | ADHD Information
Does anyone else ever have periods where you feel you can focus (no meds), your mind is quiet, you get things done, are happy, the world feels ok, having fun. Then, the calm unravels. Your mind runs on overdrive and everything falls apart. You start worrying constantly about stupid things. Then you think positively and you see the light at the end of the tunnel and eventually you find your way back out?
This happens sometimes to me. Since I am new to the ADD diagnosis I'm curious to see what anyone else has to say.
Thanks
HobocatOnly very very very rarely do I get these moments of clarity!!!
Me too, Rae & Hobo. I feel lucky to be lucid, not to mention, rare occasions of having clarity on my own. Does anyone remember a song from the 80's by the band RED RIDER, "Lunatic Fringe" (one hit wonder)
? That used to be my motto during the partying days and hair bands. Ugh!
Of course, who can forget "Silent Lucidity" from Queensryche! Well, that is if anyone was into the music I speak of.
I have not found too many people my age that listen to current music. I've progressed with my style of music and most people just listen to what they did as young adults. Man - look at this, I've gone from clarity of mind to alternative rock music. Ahhh, forget it.
Peace everyone,

ladyhope38389.7699884259thanks for the responses!
It is so frustrating to have these moments of clarity. I make all kinds of plans to: start exercising, get organized, do better at work, etc just have it all fall apart. Ladyhope, I remember "Silent Lucidity"! I used to love watching the video - I used to sort of get all wrapped up in it. It was some sort of storybook dreamworld... and the song was just so melodic and soothing.... Whooo....*shakes head*, yeah, maybe that's why I liked it so much.

It was like watching and listening to someone else's daydream for a change. LOL.
