My spouse says "go take your medicine" | ADHD Information

Thanks so much bcgirl....that helps and makes me not overreact and feel like the world is ending

Maybe he was just too wrapped in the superbowl.... that game is the equivalent to a national holiday to many men. If he is very into it, then I can see why he didn't want to bother talking to the wife all day. Try not to take it personally - it's a guy thing, I'm sure. My own boyfriend left the house to go enjoy his game. I dropped him off at the bus stop myself.

However, him telling ou to "go take your meds" is very inappropriate. Tell him your pills aren't going to magically turn you into something he wants.

Also, it sounds like he is just not much of a talker. Just like he can't change you (or your meds can't change you), you can't change him either. he doesn't have to be so rude about it, but next time call up a friend or pop on here for a chat.

UGGGGGGGGGhhhhh!  Does this happen to anyone else? What do you do?  Tonight my husband was watching the superbowl and he was ignoring me I made dinner he did not want any...I asked why is he being so mean...he hasnt spoke to me all day...and I ask again what is wrong? why are you acting angry....he said "Its all in your head....go take your medicine!"  My medicine doesn't make me numb...what is his problem....everytime I express what I think is normal emotion he tells me to take my medicine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What do i do?  I am very compasionate and love to talk and he is like a bump on a log lately....it drives me batty...I want to TALKKKKKKKKKKK!  He even sometimes will be two feet away from me and hear me clearly ask him a question 3 times and he will not even look at me or reply....makes me feel like I am gum on the bottom of his shoe.
