concerta: bad dreams, insomnia and reboun | ADHD Information

can someone pleeeeeeeze help me!!!  i have been on 18 mgs of concerta for four days only and eac day i had insomnia and then weird dreams too not of the normal at all.

each evening also i had a different rebound? effect.  first night a headache and some sleep, 2nd night very little sleep and some evening tiredness, 3rd night no sleep, last night zero sleep but must of been some cause i had weird dreams again but i was awake for the most part.

i am so zombied out today that i did not even bother with the meds..i am at wits ends with these meds cause adderall xr gave me major insomnia too but no evening anything!  help!

Jamie...the headaches and insomnia should eventually go away, from what my pharmacist has told me. And it's important to eat during the day even if not hungry and drink lots of H20.

I've been having weird dreams ever since I started even the Antidepressants. And I mean weird.    I could let them bother me, or I could (and am) just going with the flow. I just wish I could write, I'd write stories about my dreams.

Anyway, Jamie, I really suggest hanging in there, and even increasing the dosage. Of course, not without checking with your dr first. You may also check with your pharamcist (who knows more than dr do about meds) and see if he agrees, that side effects should go away.
