And what's up with "white" chocolate ????
It's not chocolate, its some kinda fake imitation sweet crisco! It shouldnt be called "chocolate" - that's blasphemy!
I HATE white chocolate! Hershey's kisses are my fave too!
But as far as being an addict, oh no, not me!

YES! I don't consider white chocolate really chocolate. I think it is cocoa butter with sugar so it has the faintest chocolate whiff to it.
If I am gonna indulge, it needs to be dark and taste like the real thing!
Well I have an interesting spin on the chocolate thing.
I am a "reformed chocoholic". At least 2 chocolate bars a day.
Recently my mum and I read a book called "Fed Up". It advised cutting out chocolate, and sweets or things with artificial flavours in them. I thought it was a load of *ahem* but said I'd give it a go so she'd stop nagging. First few weeks were hell, but then something happened; my eyes got a sparkle to them and I have started becoming more cheerful.
Oddly enough now when I do fall off the bandwagon and have either caffeine or chocolate (EVEN just a few squares!!!) I get moody and change so much my mum just goes, "You've been eating chocolate, haven't you?"
Interesting, huh? But there you go
Just once a month and I then crave it for about five days......there has been proof that anything with pure coco in it is good for you and it helps release endorphins and serotonin...there are some other benefits from dark chocolate...this is from Web MD
Antioxidants in Dark Chocolate
Dark chocolate -- but not milk chocolate or dark chocolate eaten with milk -- is a potent antioxidant, report Mauro Serafini, PhD, of Italy's National Institute for Food and Nutrition Research in Rome, and colleagues. Their report appears in the Aug. 28 issue of Nature. Antioxidants gobble up free radicals, destructive molecules that are implicated in heart disease and other ailments
My unscientific opinion on my own chocolate cravings is that it has something to do with a brain chemical imbalance of something! I started taking L-tyrosine and it seemed to help the cravings. I still drink coffee and eat chocolate but I don't HAVE To have it.
What is in chocolate that makes it addicitve?
If there is chocolate in the house, ANY KIND, I will finish it off.
Like that bottle of sundae topping I found in the back of the cabinet :)
I think it is a perfectly delightful addiction!
Esther
oh yes! and the darker the better. Straight-up bittersweet is my favorite, but I will settle for chocolate cake if necessary
Hey.... I'm releasing antioxidants and serotonin. I always knew I was doing something useful with all this chocolate munching.
A full CUP of chocolate chips per day?? Ok.... I think that IS a little excessive...
I could eat a whole Black Forest cake on my own and no one better try to get in my way!
But we need to think about our priorities, right. Yeah Chocolate!!
I LOVE chocolate! I too have been known to scarf down a cup or two of chocolate chips in one sitting, so Chocoholic, you're not alone there! And when I have PMS, holy crap - it's just chocolate, chocolate and then more chocolate!
I love chocolate. Everyone knows it too! The darker and the richer the better. My favorite chocolate are Hersheys kisses. They taste so yummy. I can eat them all day long. I love chips ahoy, chocolate ice cream is my favorite, and french silk pie from Village Inn. Got to go! I'm craving chocolate! And chocolate milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And what's up with "white" chocolate ????
