Adderall XR Canadian Suspension | ADHD Information

Hi...has anyone read about the suspension of Adderall XR in Canada? I've read both the FDA and the Health Canada public health advisories, and I'm a little concerned. The FDA attributes the incidents in deaths to existing heart problems, while Health Canada (the FDA equivilent in Canada) took a stronger approach and pulled Adderall XR immediately. I know the amount of deaths are fairly low, 12 deaths, compared to number of prescriptions written, 30 million, but any death scares me when it comes to my sons health. He is on Adderall XR 25 mg and is doing really well. Has anyone talked to their doctor yet? Or, have any feedback?

After I read the newspaper yesterday, I went to talk with the local pharmacist. He said that he has received nothing over the "wires" alerting him in his role as pharmacist that there are problems of any kind with the drug. I honestly don't know what to think, but if the pharmacist had given me any red flag, I think we would've taken him off.
