This helps calm my mind at night. You've got to love it when your mind feels like a raceway. I bought a small brightly colored notebook and nice pen at the store. I keep it by my bed on the night stand in clear view. If I am thinking of too many things, usually things I need to do within the next few days, I write them down. It really helps put the thoughts out of my mind. The thoughts are ready to be picked up the next morning. I can just tear out the piece of paper and take it with me. This is simple but effective. Maybe everyone does this, I know I wish I had thought to do it sooner!

Hobocat Glad it works- I've had lots of luck with one of those little bitty handheld recorders.
Record the random thoughts into it and download them all at some point onto paper so I can do something about them.
