My son is ADHD with high hyperactivity. He is currently on 15mg Adderall XR and that seems to help, but he still picks at his fingers until they bleed or become infected. He also has a lot of anger. The dr. wants to add prozac or risperdal. I am hesitant. Does anyone have a child or know of one on ADHD+mood stabalizer?

I know of a lot of people who've taken stimulants and antidepressants or mood control drugs at the same time. I think they're usually prescribed in order to lessen mood swings or reduce anxiety that can go along with things like ritalin.
