How do you feel on it?
New drugs make me nervous since there just isn't enough info on them. I'd prefer to stay with the old stand by's if I can because they have been around a lot longer, but that is just me
What other meds were you on before?
I was on Ritalin for a brief period when I was eight. Other than that I haven't been on any. My cardiologist (I'm 27 but have a hear defect) won't put me on any stimulants.
I feel anxious, a little moody, hot and insomniacal on it.
My son was on Straterra and he feaked out. He slept all day and wouldn't go to bed at night. Kept telling me their was somebody in his closet. Quite a few times, Cree came into my room saying his room was on fire. I took him off of it when he started twitching real bad.Effexor, which at the right dosage works like Strattera with a lower side-effect profile, might be an option. Wellbutrin has also been shown to be about as effective as Strattera, but without the harsh side-effects.The doctor has put Cree on Concerta now. It seems to be working. He received an A on his a couple spelling tests & on a couple of his book reports. He has to take Risperdal at night so he'll stay in bed, except now he has to wear a pull-up to bed because he actually sleeps now.I feel guilty doing that because he goes to bed and sometimes tries to fight the sleep, but it finally kicks in and out he goes. My poor bug boy. I just hope that i'm doing the right thing for him.
I had the worst few days on Straterra....so sleepy.but so aggitated. I felt awful
I've been on Strattera a week now. At first I thought greatefully my brain was being rewired; something was going on in the back brain that felt like a clamp . I settled some bills that had been lost in the fog.EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT BODIES! iT IS WORKING GOOD FOR OUR SON. ALL DRUGS HAVE POSSIBLE PROBLEMS. ANTIDEPRESSION ARE LINKED TO SUISIDE AND NOW FDA ARE REQUIRED TO LIST THIS ON THE BOTTLES.WELBUTRIN CAN BE LINKED TO SEIZURES THAT'S WHY i DON'T USE IT BECAUSE OF PAST .
