I am new here and my daughter was on Adderall for 3 months before the Canadian ban. I was frightened when I had heard why they were pulling the drug and truely thanksful as well. I just have two quick comments:
1...I resent the suggestion by shinsetu_hito (in a post below) that Canada is a stupid place. This is a great country with a fantastic health care system. If Health Canada makes any decisions I trust them entirely. They have done this for the protection of our children. My question...why is the US still allowing use of this medication? If you ask me, Canada is not the stupid country.
2...one death, two deaths or twnety deaths...doesn't matter. One is too many and if it is in relation to this medication at all then I don't want my child at risk.
I didn't come here to pick a fight...My daughter has been recently diagnosed and I was looking for support and understanding from other parents that are experiencing the same thing.
I was upset and offended by the implications that Canada is making these choices for politcal or self-serving reasons. I have taken my daughter off of this medication and trust the docotrs and pharmacists in my country!
I wish you all luck with your children and hope that relief and success is right around the corner
Thanks
