help me | ADHD Information

I have a question. I have a friend who has a 9 year old son who has adhd.Well his school seems to call his mom everytime he acts up in school.If his mom is unable to calm him down the school sends him home.So this boy thinks hey if I act up in school I can go home.He gets grounded for acting up but that is not helping.Do you have any suggestions.  wolvesprincess38400.8209375Check thyroid.Call state board. Took 3 years before they got this taken care of.Read about SI it's a lot to learn. You will  probably have someone in your family is like this also. I have SI myself. No junk food also helps. B1 daily helps keeps me calm also.rshnAsk the school what happens if your friend is not able to pick the child up? Is there a place where he can sit and calm down. What's making him upset would be the first thing I'd ask. Having the mother pick him up is only letting him have his way of getting out of school. He knows this too. Smart kid. But on the other hand the school seems to not want to do anything other than call his mom. Tell mom to not to able to pick him up just once and see what happens; or have mom go to school and NOT let the child see her and let her 'see' what he's doing and what the school itself is doing for him.
