I have an almost three year old that is showing some "ADHD tendencies." From reading this board, it does not seem like he has ADHD in the extreme at all, and some of it could just be two year old behavior. However, there is a history in our family -- my husband was recently tested and he was 48% ADHD.
Looking back on my husband's history, he was never diagnosed as a child and never took medication or had a problem in school. His mother was pretty strict about no sugar and lots of fruits and veggies and he played many sports growing up as well.
My question is that I have started looking into some vitamin supplements for my child. We have already altered his diet and focus more on high protein and not as many carbs, sugar, etc. I was looking at adding some omega acids in and have found some online but the recommended age is not until age 4. My son is tall for his age and will be three in April and already weighs 40 lbs -- will be tall like Daddy! Has anyone else run into this and are you giving children under 4 supplements?
