Is Stratera Being Taken Off the Market | ADHD Information
SORRY SORRY SORRY. it was just an observation as well as a conversation
between myself and my aunt who has been a registered nurse for over 25
years. I am sorry to have been so insensitive, I am just thinking that if
there were only 2 people out of the rediculous amount of people who
have been usung the drug, it could be a possibility.
again I appologize for the statement, and everyone has told me that I'm
just lazy and that i dont get stuff done because of lazyness my entire life.
they have also said "you just refuse to focus," " your so
disrespectfull to
your mother and me because you wont keep your room clean," " your
such an idiot, why did you just say that?" "cant you just do it the right way
instead of your way?" "why isnt it done yet?" "its not hart to be organized
it just takes a min. out of your day." "How did you forget to bring that?" [/

Okay. Thanks for your apology. I forgive you. I put my foot in my mouth all the time.
scarygreengiant38405.9271759259I hadn't heard this, so I did a quick google. It's not being
taken off the market, but the FDA has required the company to update
the packaging to include a warning about possible liver damage.
There's only been two reported cases out of the 2 million people that
have taken it, so there's really not enough data to show a connection
yet. That hasn't stopped several law firms from trying to scrape
together enough people for a class action lawsuit though.
Here's a link to a short arcticle about it on the FDA's website.

I have heard that they are taking stratera off of the market b/c of
something with liver problems. Has anyone heard anythign else???
Those 2 people were probably drinking too much while on the meds, I
know I drink a lot and it helps socialy with adhd, I bet they did it to them
selvesI haven't been on the board for the past week or so, but last week I heard that Canada banned Adderall. My doctor told me this when I was picking up latest perscription. I looked it up on Web MD and found that they banned it because 12 kids in the USA died from it. However, 5 of the kids had heart problems, 1 was at a boot camp drilling in 110 degrees Farenheit. So I guess the US isn't going to ban it. Just thought it would be some helpful input if you were thinking about switching off stratera.SORRY SORRY SORRY. it was just an observation as well as a conversation

I'll bet in any group of 2 million people - no matter what they take - at least 2 of them will get liver problems, at least 2 of them will die from kidney failure, or cancer, or etc, etc. In fact your chances of dying are 100%
PS: eicholtz: the last thing you or I need is more sympathy :-)

It's like saying
that pool will give you heart problems because somewhere in the world,
20 people who were avid pool players died from a heart attack.
The weapon that most readily destroys reason is fear and ignorance.

How do you know if they were drinking too much while on the meds? You
don't know the whole story! What if they weren't drinking too much? I'd
like to see you say that to their families faces if it wasn't their
fault. Yes, they could have done it to themselves or it also could have not been their fault. Either scenario is possible. I think that you of
all people wouldn't be so judgemental, assuming that you also have
AD/HD. Many of us have been judged our whole lives by people who
assumed that all of our problems were our fault. How would you like it
if someone said, "Those people with ADHD are probably just too lazy. I
bet they did it to themselves." I can't believe you are so
insensitive.
