I'm new here today......I have been on Strattera for about 5 weeks......I'm taking 40mg daily........I do notice that I'm doing a little better but I'm not where I want to be............I want to be a lot better...........Since 40mg daily has helped some, wouldn't it hold true that a larger dosage would be even better???? I have talked to some who take 120 mg daily...........(60 twice daily).........What is the average dosage people take????????/Thanx.john

According to my psychiatrist, the average dose is 80-100mgs, some, but only a few taking more and some taking less. At 60, you probably just need to up it a little bit more in order for it to take full effect. BUT- consult your doctor about this and tell him how you feel.

I'm on straterra and I started out on 40mg/day, tomorrow I will begin 80mg/day. I think I will eventually end up on 100mg/day.
