does this make any sense? i've been on concerta off and on for a while now but i keep stopping it due to the weird rebound of being irritable and cranky and tired, and the insomina is crazy.
so i talked with the dr. today and she said that increasing it may help the rebound..is that possible or nuttier then me?
thoughts please!!??
i have read that in a book about add, my son who is 8 started on 18mg, now on 27, i have the problem of him falling asleep at nite, up till 1 am sometimes, i give him melatonin for that, but i am trying to find a new solution, his doctor just upped his concerta to 36mg, i hope that will even it out. We did try to give him 18 mg of Stratterra at nite, because when he first tried that med before concerta, it made him sleepy, i tried only one time, it did seem to work by giving him concerta in the am and the straterra at around 7, but he was cranky the next day.
hope this helps you a little
OH COME ON NOW, SOMEONE MUST HAVE SOME IDEA HERE!
if i am taking 18 mgs of concerta and am having rebound, will i ncreasing the dose to 27 mgs help with the rebound? my dr. seems so but to me it seems redundant..
opinions please!
Hello jamieileana,
All of this is new to me. My doctors think I have ADHD in addition to many other things. I was confused about what "rebound" really is. Can you or someone explain it to me? Thanks.
