-Hi
Looking for a group to help me get back in the work
force. I have retired from a job and need to enter a
new work force.    just Found out 1 year ago and do
not know how to approach a job ?

Thank you
Are there any career counseling services near you? I know some local colleges have them.

Or, I'm not sure what you are qualified/looking for , but in some fields there are "temp agencies" that give you temporary placements. You can work various places for a week or so at a time and see if anything turns permanent, see how the field suits you or just gain experience. I've seen temporary placement agencies for degreed fields such as social work, nursing, computer tech, as well as industrial, administrative and other non-degree fields.

Sadly that is probably the biggest obstacle in the way of us leading normal, productive lives.

Thanks for the reply . Really need a group and i have
gone back to school part of it is needing to talk to
someone with the same conditions. If you do not
have ADDHD PEOPLE HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING
OF IT. i worked in a place that a CSR Superviser
made jokes of it , in a everyday conversation. I did
say to him to be careful there are people that do
have ADDHD and he never mentioned it again. You're right, people really dont understand what adhd is. I completely didn't before I got diagnosed. The only thing I had ever heard of was what you saw on the news- wild boys wrecking cars or getting into fights.

Good luck with your job search. I think you'll find this group to be a good support. It seems like the members have been through such a variety of experiences in life that there's always someone to say 'hey, I've been there and this is what happened'.
