Hi all, my name is Chris, i am a happily married 29 year old male and I was diagnosed with adult ADHD. additionally, i have conduct disorder, anxiety, depression and OCD associated with ADHD. My doctor is still waiting to determine if I have bipolar disorder but doesn't think so.
i just started Adderall XR and finding it is causing me to be extremely irritable and clumsy. i also have strattera but i am supposed to try the Adderall XR for 2 weeks. Any feedback on theses 2 drugs would be appreciated.
Reading the posts from this message board has really helped a lot. I don't feel alone now.
I have lived with ADHD my whole life untreated. I did not believe it was a real medical/mental health condition. I am now enlightened.

I have never taken Adderall, I take Dexedrine 20mgs a day. I know a lot of people don't take it because Dr's are scared to prescribe it due to past abuse of it, but it was the first one I took and it was a life saver for me. My doctor said she has seen the best results with Adult ADHD and Dexedrine.
At any rate, getting back to your original question (sorry, got distraced, ADHD moment ) I would give the Adderall some time, just in case they are side effects that will go away. But if it doesn't work, there are other drugs out there, so you just might have to try a few and see what works for you. I know for me on my Dexedrine, my only side effects are dry mouth and lack of appetite. Other than that everything is great, I can focus, sleep, control my impulses, anger, stay organized etc etc etc.
So don't give up if Adderall and Straterra don't work for you!
