My 5 yr old son has adhd, he has been on several medications that don't work or make him more violent. He recently started hurting himself and talking about wanting to die. He has had a CT scan, been tested for Autism and Bipolar disorder without any solid results. I feel helpless. He is currently taking a mood stabilizer , I am not sure if it really is working. I need some advice,
I would get him in counseling and is he seeing a Psychiatrist ? Poor child my daughter is five as well. If he is not seeing a Psychiatrist i would see one if he is call him/her and talk to them about this. Take one day at a time. Has he been screened for depression, to me it sounds like depression.
