Welcom - good to have to aboard also!

Welcome.

Your story sounds awfully familiar...

I'm sure you'll find, just as I have, that here are a great crowd of people who are good company and a great help.

Mark -

Welcome!

I am almost 30 and was just dx in August and I could have pretty much written your post word for word. I am working with a therapist to help me with my ADHD tendancies, but also getting through the bitterness of being totally misdiagnosed back in 1992 when I was seeing a psychiatrist. I too was on my way to med school but couldn't retain the info, sit still etc etc and so I dropped out as well. Anyways, all we can do is go forward right?

It's great to have you here. This board is awesome and everyone here is wonderful!

Hi everyone, I am a 31 yearold female and was diagnosed with ADHD in January, wish it could have been sooner, my life would have been a bit different I'm sure, I didn't do well in school.  Only passed because of tests scores never did homework.  Couldn't sit still in college classes, ended up dropping out after one quarter.  Now that I am a mom of two sons, my oldest 6 was diagnosed in August, (his pediatrician actually was the one who made the comment that perhaps I should be evaluated)and I just want him to have a better life with the oppurtunities that I missed out on.

But now after finding this site, and reading everyones messages and what they have done and stuff, shoot, I guess I don't have to miss out on oppurtunities now with my new friend, AdderallXR's help, and a new support board!

Of course I don't know any of you, but thanks just for being here!
