Omigosh!! How many pets have I had over they years??????? I just walk into the pet store and some big sournful eyes just beg me to take them home, and I just loose it!! The worst are little bunny rabbits! I have had SO MANY rabbits over they years!!
I have had kittens, puppies, iguanas, lizards, rats, turtles, frogs, fish, crickets, tadpoles.........I just get SO IMPULSIVE when I see a little face in the pet store that I want!
I am in the club, I have 2 closets full of clothes that I havent worn in years!!!! This is so neat, that I am not the only one. I, too can always find a reason to keep them. My husband has always called me an impusle buyer. I just thought he was just cheap ( well he actually is). I always go and buy things we dont need, It is like a therapy for me. I am getting better though.
I definitely relate to the 3 different sizes thing. The thing is, I have already lost 8lbs, since on my meds, and it will be nearly impossible for me to give the things I have away now, I may actually fit in them again!! I have so much fun with you guys!
Hobocat,
But you guys have your pack rat thing, too. Like tools, your little hobbies, things other than clothes. You have the garage!!!

I guess you're right - my smoking pipe collection is now around 50

Are you sure this isn't just a 'girl thing'? My closet would be practically empty were it not for the overflow from my wife's closet.
I buy clothes only when my old ones are so worn you can see backside through them.

Mark, I imagine this IS a woman thing - I doubt the ADHD man could be bothered to go out to the store to replace a pair of 20-year old jeans!
Gypsy, love your new avatar!
Booknert: probably not! A week later we'd all be going, "Hmmm.... there was something I was supposed to do last weekend...." LOL.
would we remember when the yard sale was or to bring our stuff
O.M.G!!!!! My hubby said I'm the only one in this world with a closet and draws as full as mine! I can ALWAYS find an excuse not to get rid of something....lets see....um, haven't worn those pants in 3 yrs, but maybe someday I'll need them and ditto on the shirts! Most of the stuff I got when I was 140pds, I'm now 110. Maybe someday I'll alter them myself, when I learn how to sew!
I have boxes of earrings, at least 500 pairs and 5 earpiercings. Bracelets, necklessess, nail polish(haven't done nails in yrs.)tons of it! Odds & ends, you name it, it's probably in there somewhere
. Draws are mostly shirts that "have some kind of meaning" although sometimes I can't remember what. Not many shoes, maybe 6pairs, only 2 comfy, but I can't part w/the other 4
. Everyone says how clean our house is. Little do they know "whats behind closed doors"!
Hey y'all, lets all get together and have an ADD/ADHD yard sale! It's sooo nice to find others like me
I'm the same way but being male, my impulses tend to be in things like computer hardware, electronics, tools, guns, flashlights etc.
Yep, I can relate to all that. Though perhaps the worst one was the 5 foot long iguana I bought

Same here...I had a BIG closet clean out a month ago and I was shocked at how many things I had that I had never worn and were now out of fashion!I am bad i dont throw old clothes away...they go to the spare bedroom bureau/closet or basement of "broken toys" like in Rudolph to sit forgoteen...reading this gave me an idea of something I can do to make my life a little more organized this weekend...TOO THE GOODWILL THEY GO!.... of clothes they never wear?
Ya, you can count me in for that too! Clothes, shoes, you name it. I always keep receipts, but then I lose them - not like I'd ever get around to returing anything anyways
I'm the same way but being male, my impulses tend to be in things like
computer hardware, electronics, tools, guns, flashlights etc.
Heck, one time I almost ended up impulse buying a ,000 car.
Yikes! Those damn car salesman are far too persuasive.
RandomUser38408.5420601852Oh yeah, I have a closet full I never wear, but it's a closet full of three different sizes! When I am wearing the "middle" size again, which is going to be SOON, I hope, I'll give away the other two sizes.
Well I am not sure what I have in my closet....because of the piles of clothes etc on the floor I can't get to everything...they are the piles of clothes that I made to hang up...still haven't goten to them yet.
Dieburnbot, I love your avatar.
Thanks!I have lots and lots of clothes, some of them are even lost, some things I've only worn maybe twice. I don't want to sell them either, because I paid good money for them and I know I will never get back what I paid. I don't think I have anything cheaper than 20 dollars in my closet, other than some t-shirts which I use as undershirts. I'm running out of room though, and will soon have to sell them, but since I am so lazy, set them on fire.my closet has a strong similairty to my mind,,some things are out away..lots left for later..things bought and not worn..things saved to wear later and forgotten(or dont fit)//things on shelves to be organized "someday",,,Ya I go shopping all the time and I just buy and buy until all my money is gone. Then I come home and the stuff just sits in bags because I won't wear it and I won't get rid of it.mark- When I first moved out on my own a year ago my closet and room was so clean and organized. Now it looks like the typical batchelor's room with piles of clothes and stuff everywhere. My roomate makes fun of me because he is so organized, he thinks everything is such a mess but I know whats clean and whats not, it's just my own way of organizing
Accually yesturday was my day off and I took my Ritlin anyway and found myself cleaning it and organizing it. I was surprised how much I really accomplished *pats myself on the back*. Clothes are hung up or folded and put away, and I got a bunch of laundry done. I think meds are helping ALOT especially when it comes to doing things I don't want to do. I can't explain it, I just felt it was something I had to do yesturday as opposed to my normal mentality of I'll just do it later.

(clothes are on the floor)
:)

Ah. I found the ideal cure for that - I got me a wife!
I find she is just the thing for removing clothes from the floor - they disappear for a while and then miraculously re-appear, clean and pressed, in my closet!!
Husbands, I fear (even ones without ADD), will never be good at this
