Maximize your meds effects | ADHD Information

Recently, I had some problems with my ADHD meds not working. I thought I was some sort of druggy that had already build a immunity to the medication, but it truned out I that my gastritis and my diet were really screwing with its effects.

Eat Alkaline foods and avoid Acidic ones. Do some reasearch on this! I was surprised to find out that foods like lemons, pears, and apples are considered alkaline, while most bread, milks, and meats are acidic. That's wy the meds were starting to not work! I was eating the wrong things. The wrong diet in combination with my untreated gastritis turned the pill into no more than just a candy.

Stimulant medications are not blood level medications so one does not build up immunity because they flush right out the system after the effects have worn off. This is very important for parents to know. However, patients are advised not to drink acidic juices like grapefruit juice to take medication because the acid causes the medication to metabolize too quickly and/or not absorb properly so therefore the benefits of the medication dont last as long as they should for that particular person or don't work properly. This applies to many medications and thats why its important to consult with your pharmacist before starting any medication.Diet has a huge effect. My Dr. proved it to me when i followed  his dietary advice and got results... I really think the low simple carbs, limited fruits, whole foods not processed, high protein diet  is as important as the meds to meIM Bobel. This person seems to know a lot

Hi guys,

I know your diet does influence the effectiveness of your meds, so I was wondering what type of foods you do and don't (besides citrus sources) eat.  What protein sources do you eat, and what are "acceptable" fruits (b/c I love fruits!).
