Concerta + heart palpitations | ADHD Information

My son had the same thing happen on the short acting Ritalin (he was on it for 5 years) We had to do 2 months of blood pressure and pulse they ended up changing him to concerta for a few months which didn't work for him so we tried the Ritalin LA which is working wonderful with no rapid heart beat. Go figure!

My son is taking 18mg of concerta and this morning he complained that his heart hurt and when my mom touched his chest his heart was beating rapidly.

I've called the doctor and I am waiting for a reply, but just wanted to know if anybody else has experienced this.

I am VERY concerned and I woudl appreciate some help.

I do because means my thyroid is off. Never herd when on this kind of medacine.
