I just found my way on here as well. It's hard when you don't know anyone that has your problem- nobody understands why you do the things you do, and they just assume you're forgetful or undependable or something.

My family has been my best and only support in dealing with my add, but it's great to talk to others that know how it is.

Wren, you're very lucky your family understands you and supports you. We're not all that lucky. "Can't you be more like your sister?" "Shape up in school, or else!" "We know you're smart, you just don't apply yourself." So consider yoursef double lucky.

Hi! I am so happy, that i've found this board. Acctually it happened aleready about a week ago and since then i have been reading all the messages

Well, i wanted to write something before, but what to write, as i could have written most of the posts

I feel like I found home here.

Many of you are so close to my heart. In fact, it is difficult to imagine that such place can help so much.  I saw clearly the positives of ADHD and understood that there are people, who feel and think like me. In fact I live in Poland, where ADHD issue is almost unknown. Let me say that there are probably no more than 10 specialists, that help adults with our gift/curse (most of them actually have ADD either )

First of all I'd like to thank GypsyWomyn for sharing her experiences. You could be my second mother (happily i have great parents that gave me lot of support over the years), as I'm 20 now. I'm male and I became very frustrated. Now I know one of the sources was that I  could not express my emotions and understand them. You expressed them for me and I'd like to thank you one more time . I found here many other people that are very close to me.

So one more time...

Well, April, thank you; however, each and every one on this forum is an incredible and remarkable person for sharing their experiences, and there'll be many more joining, I'm sure! We all need one another.
BTW, hope you're feeling better, and you are recuperating.
