I don't want to be a know-it-all here, but it sounds to me like you may need a mood stabilizer. The same problems you are dealing with I too suffered from. My psychologist suggested Trileptal which is an anti-convulsant that is also used as a mood stabilizer in smaller doses. It has worked wonders for me because I am so much calmer and together now, unlike before, when I felt like a cannon ready to go off at any time. But it is not a mind-altering drug; it doesn't give you a high feeling, however, it will make some people drowsy. My best advice is to talk to your doctor or therapist if you think it will help.
Good luck to you.
Peace~
I also take a mood stabilizer - Carbatrol (Tegratol) - and took long before being dx'd for ADHD. Although I still get irrtated, I don't get angry like I used to. Not since since I lost my last job (before being put on mood stabilizer}. Now I'm looking forward to ADHD meds and working on my focusing, organization, communicating, just plain TALKING.
GypsyWomyn38413.7775810185yes i am on Depakote and AdderallI used to have
horrible rage outbursts. I seem to have gotten over it in the past 3
years or so, though once in a while a little nothing thing will set me
off. It's kind of strange that around the same time I came to grips
with my poor self-esteem problems, the rage outbursts diminished
significantly.
