Just out of curiousity---
Did or does anyone here play sports or a musical instrument? (Willingly that is).
Looking back, I hated 'team sports' and well, after umpteen years of piano lessons, it became clear that I didn't have the attention span required for playing.
Is common with ADD'ers?
I played sports my whole life. My parents got my involved early with soccer and softball. Then I made my own decision to play basketball, lacrosse, track, XC through high school.
I was going to reply to this saying I never had a problem with paying attention in sports. But I realized I did but only in softball because there is too much standing around. As long as the sport is fasting moving I never had a problem.
I played clarinet and violen each for a year, but just couldn't stick with them.

I was lousy at sport at school, and I have had no interest in playing since.
As for music, I bought a guitar once, on the way home from the pub after a particularly lively lunchtime boozing session. I was heartbroken when I discovered I couldn't play it
I guess that's about it for sport and music for me.
In my teens I loved playing guitar and sports (at least the ones I was good at) now I just dont have the time not that I'm opposed to it though.
I do still love watching Football and listening to music
I played many sports I started out in ballet and did that for 5yrs but didn't really like it because it was so boring. I also did basketball for a season but instead of playing the game I would stand in the part of the court where the ball wasn't and talk to my friend. Then I tried swimming for 2yrs and I loved it but at the same time just didn't have the attention span to be stuck under water. Then in middle school I did track, Golf and soccer. I wasn't very good at these because I didn't pay attention and golf was extremely boring. Then in high school I got back in to swimming and loved it but I never gave my whole self because I was bored. I also did dance team but only had fun when I was performing. I played the clarinet for 5 1/2 yrs. I wasn't against playing because I had fun when I played the fun parts of songs but when it came time to play the boring parts I wouldn't bother to learn it so I would make up my own song during those times. I think my instructor just thought I was dumb...I usually ended up last chair...which gets to play the boring parts anyway...So I just made up my own songs lol.
