YEAH!, I posted something a long time ago about wellbutrin xl, versus wellbutrin sr, but no one answered me....i started on wellbutrin sr first twice a day, and it made a huge difference, and then later, when they came out with wellbutrin xl, they put me on that once a day and it didn't help much....
maybe it is something similar to what the doctor said about your medication????
because i think the wellbutrin xl is a slower release than the wellbutrin sr, so maybe it somewhat akin to what the doctor was doing with your medication......
sonya_h38418.53375I guess I will have to ask my doctor the next time I get a chance...my life had completely turned around on that Wellbutrin SR, and I really loved it and the wellbutrin XL was as if I was just taking nothing,it just made me irritable...I would like to find a medication that works as well as the wellbutrin SR again, or either go back on it...i am 23 weeks pregnant now, and not taking anything, but I will still look into it and ask a doctor when i get the chance....Hi Sonya,
Humm I was hoping to get more of a response, But it doesnt look as we will get any answers.
Maybe someone might come up with an insight on this

I've just started taking Dexadrine. its the first time for meds for me and this may have some relevance for you.
I was to take a 10mg first and a 5mg in the evening. The doc said the 10mg lasted @ 8hrs and the 5mg was quicker acting and lasted @ 3-4 hours.
The pharmacist lady said "I'll just give you all 5mg tablets to make it simple for you (her probably), they are all formulated the same. Just double them up to make 10mg."
Well, I was very excited to see what would happen....OMG!!! 15 minutes later I felt it wash over me and by 20 minutes I was soooo calm. A friend sat down and started talking to me for about 5 minutes. I followed everything she said. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her when she spoke. I had heard her, understood her and when she asked me a question " I HAD TO THINK ABOUT AN ANSWER!!!" Unreal, like being on a foreign planet I'd like to call my new home.
But by 1 1/2 hours later my focus was still good..too good. I had started chewing the inside of my mouth out and my tongue. I didn't even notice I was so focused on reading until it really hurt. My jaw kept clenching. Then my tongue was so wierd, that I started slurring when I spoke. I only felt slightly jittery.
I realised the 5mg were a soft pill. I had 10mg delivered in 1 1/2 hours instead of over the day. I had wayyy too much for my body to physically to handle and @ 2 hours to go!
Next day I went back to the pharmasist and made her give me the 10mg which "suprise, no f***ing suprise" came in a time released capsule. However it doesn't even come close to giving me that same "calm and focus" that the first hour did on the 5's. If I enjoyed cannibalizing my self...I'd try it again. I'll be going up to 20mg (timed released) and see whats up.
For you maybe the more intense delivery is what you need.

Well I just came back from my doctors, having gone from 10,20,30mg of Dexedrine.
On the 30mg i started to get jittary. I really thought he would of taken me off the Dex and try a different medication. He was reluctant to try me on Ritalin.
So to my amazement he has put me on the reg dex 5mg 2 x day.
He told me that many people will find better results on this one rather than the slow release kind.
I am confused as went from 10 then 20 but now on 5mg
can anyone tell me if they find this to me true????
