How Many Feel This Way, Too? | ADHD Information

Since we're AD(H)Ders and are easily distracted, how many of you have a difficult time reading posts with avatars or other pics that are MOVING?! They're cool, however, and I don't mean to criticize those members, I know I have a difficult time reading your posts, and am interested in what you have to say. However,    And I don't mean the little emotion icons, either...they're okay.
Just letting you know how I feel. Thanks. GypsyWomyn38418.5806365741My attention always get distracted by your damn hugging smily hehe...

That spinning box thing a couple of the members use is the one that really steers my brain away from what I'm trying to read...

Mark -

Mark Goode38418.6073263889that dancing jumping grover sesame street monster trips me out.... and i get mesmerized by gypsywomyn's ever changing ladies....

Sorry, it's the smart @$$ in me!

Sometimes when the picture is really detailed, I get sidetracked trying to figure out what's going on, and try to download the avatar so I can blow it up bigger and see it. I wish I knew how to shrink them, because I can't get any of my avatars to work here.

I have a photo editing program. If you are interested, send me a PM and I will give you my email address. I can try to shrink them for you.

I like to see how the avatars match certain ad/hd personalities...I chose mine cuz I would literallly daydream my days away if i let myself....my favorites are the jumping grover, the wondering seahorse,...the stick man that sticks his tongue out.....hmmm...i can't think of any more of the moving ones now without going back to look, but I like those ones I listed because they obviously match ad/hd personalities. It's funny because before I read the substance of your post, I found myself spending time looking at each of the little emotion faces.  they really are distracting...but how can such expressive peoples such as us get our points across without our emoticons????? Wow...didn't realize some of you were also distracted by the emotion faces.

TaagMan...Sorry about my huggy...can't help it, I'm a hugger...maybe I can make a little smaller. ha ha, but it won't feel as good. ! I could say something about the smug smile on your face.    TaagMan, hope you know I am just kidding!   See, I DO have a sense of humor.

I still don't think the emotion icons are as distracting as the whirly whoos and BIG animated stuff. Ya know? Hope you don't think I'm yelling at ya. Haven't gotten any replies yet from the "guilty parities." We still love ya!!

Okay, great responses....Glad to see you all have a sense of humor. But I knew that! Would hate to see this turn into a slamming thread. Uh, Uh, Uh, no, no, no.

Yeah, I just love my multiple "personalities." I've come a long way from the haggard old witchy gypsy, eh?

Daydreaming.... yup..... I think my avatar says a lot about that!

OMG! There is this one where the cube spins and I can not read that persons post without reading it 10 mil times...it is sooooooooooooooooooooo distracting!!!!Actually THAT'S the one that got me thinking about starting this thread! Nothing personal against the person, just their avatar!

Can't help it, I'm AD(HHHHH)D!

LOL Gypsy - hope no one minds my tongue poker! LMAO.

Anyway - I love interesting Avatars - Idont find them overly distracting myself - but I hate Big Ones!  weird hey?

I hate large signatures and avatars - I find them extremely distracting.  But small moving ones dont distract me at all.

Yes, but I am more distracted by anything in the forum that is a different color, shape, or shows movement. Are you talking about my Grover? Thanks! I didn't know it was so distracting. Sorry about that. But you know Grover is hot! Just kidding.

The avatars are a little distracting but very fun. They give me a glimpse into your wonderful eclectic personalities.
scarygreengiant38441.2873842593What happened to the snickering dog avatar? That was one of my favorites. I miss it.  WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS HOW ADD'RS WRITE NOVELS AND EXPECT THE REST OF US TO READ THE ENTIRE THING!  DO YOU HAVE THE ATTENTION SPAN?  I SURE AS HECK DON'T :)Um..no offensense to the people who put out these nice icons, but do you think we can make our own? I was somehow thinking of drawing my own. I don't own Photoshop, so I'd have to find another way to make them.I find the movement distracting and I rarely finish reading any longer sentences.  I hope the most important part is at the very beginning of the posts.
