thank youDoes anyone know what its like to be on strattera and adderall or concerta?? I would really like to know how it makes some people feel.
I'm alittle aprehensive about taking a stimulant.I have been on strattera for about 6 months now. I have noticed improvements in my moods more than anything.  I am more patient, have more self control, and not so easily frustrated anymore.  These are all good things, but I still have problems focusing, procrastinating, and constant boredom.  I was wondering if anyone knew, or has had experience with mixing another medication with strattera????

Please respond...Thank you

bumpIts work i'm having a hard time with.  I like the strattera because it keeps me in a good and stable mood.  I was curious if anyone had any success with strattera and something else with it.

Yes. Its pretty common practice to prescribe adderall or concerta in combination with strattera. Just tell your doctor and you shouldn't have any problems getting it prescribed to you.

Perhaps if you were to engage in things that interest you, you would find yourself less bored, therefore focusing more, and ultimately decreasing procrastination.

Well thats true of just about everone. But im guessing that your having a hard time with work or school?

If your still not where you want to be, strattera may just not be for you. Bring it up to your doctor, and work on dosaging, or try something diffrent.

Strattera didnt work at all for me, but it works wonders for some, just depends on the person.

come on, there has to be someone!?!?

I am not on straterra but I am taking a antidepressant that is similar- theya re both SSNRI.  The med I take is cymbalta.  I take 20 mg of cymbalta 2 x aday and 10mg. of adderall 2 x a day.  This has been a good mix for me.  It levels out my moods and has eliminated the rebvound effect I had before. My concentration has improved.

I have heard of other people taking straterra and a stimulant.  It would be worth asking your doctor about it.

good luck.

I am personally only on Adderall XR 20 mg with a 10 mg supplement taken about 4:00 in the afternoon.  My 9 year old son however takes both Adderall XR 10 mg and Strattera 40 mg.  He was only on the Adderall at first but had really horrible rebound when it wore off.  It worked well for his concentration though.  We added the Strattera which did wonders for his mood.  It really eased the rebound effect from the Adderall.  He has been on this combination for over a year now.  He also takes Lexapro.   I am considering asking my psych to try the combination with me when I see him at the end of the month.

so no one here takes strattera and something else???
