Ritalin for ADD not ADHD? | ADHD Information

Hi,

My diagnosis is adult ADD without the hyperactivity.   My problems are mainly related to a hard time focusing, bad grades, bad memory, and misplacing items constantly.  Do you think that meds will help this?

Daven is absolutely right.  They are the same thing.  I use the term ADHD because my son exhibits the hyperactivity but it is exactly the same thing.  ADD and ADHD are the same thing. When it was first found, they made two names believing that the hyperactivity made a difference in the diagnosis, but after further research, it doesn't. Two different disorders is just a common myth.Oh, okay, thanks!
